In today’s blog, we’re thrilled to showcase our updated materials on the Consumer Resources page. We know that just like dedicated farmers, informed consumers are the key to driving meaningful change in our food system. That’s why we’ve revamped our consumer guides to help conscientious shoppers easily find the information they need to make empowered choices that align with their values and support our network of humane farmers. For the farmers, we encourage you to share these valuable resources with your customers—whether through social media, newsletters, or print materials.

Ever wonder what life is actually like on a humane farm or what makes them different from a factory farm? We’ve outlined the key principles and practices that define humane farming. Here, you'll find detailed information on the standards that ensure the humane treatment of animals- important information for consumers and aspiring humane farmers alike!

Whether buying from grocery stores or farmers markets, we’ve updated and added materials to help you decipher the many labels on the market. We these guides you can make informed choices about the meat, dairy, and eggs you buy, ensuring they align with your high standards of animal welfare.

Nutritional FACTsheets

Not all meat, dairy, and eggs are created equally and our Nutritional FACTsheets have the data to prove it! Packed with information highlighting the enhanced nutritional quality of pasture-raised meat, dairy, and eggs, these resources are perfect for sharing with others or even printing out to display at your farmstand. 

Humane & Pasture-Based Farm Directory

Did you know you can search (or join!) our directory of Humane farmers to find foods in your local area? This is a great way to support farmers with your shared values and often save money! I also encourage you to check out our Farmers Market & CSA pages where we share tips and questions to ask farmers, to ensure you are getting the quality of products you expect. Combined, local and humane foods are the most environmentally sustainable and generally, ensure the animals and farmers are being treated with the respect and compassion they deserve.
